Da Things Jewellery respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we keep it, and the rights you have. It is written in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.
1. What we collect
When you place an order, book a bespoke consultation, enquire or subscribe, we may collect:
- Your name
- Phone / WhatsApp number
- Email address
- Delivery address (where applicable)
- Order details (item, style, size, engraving, bespoke requirements)
- Payment status and transaction reference (we never store your full card number; card data is handled directly by our payment provider, Stripe)
- Any other information you choose to give us (e.g. reference images, ring size, wearing habits)
2. Why we collect it
- To process and fulfil your order (including bespoke work, resizing and repairs)
- To arrange delivery and after-sales care
- To contact you about your order (confirmation, payment, appointments, collection)
- To handle refunds, disputes, and accounting/tax records
- To answer your enquiries
- Only with your explicit consent, to send you news about new pieces or events (you may opt out at any time)
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Who may access your data
To complete a transaction we share the minimum necessary data with:
- Stripe (card and digital-wallet payment processing)
- Cloudflare (website hosting and order database)
- Resend (order confirmation emails)
- Zoho (invoicing)
- SF Express (delivery — recipient name, phone and address only)
These providers access data only as needed to provide their service and are bound by their own privacy policies.
We may disclose data to Hong Kong law enforcement or regulators where required by law.
4. How long we keep it
- Order and transaction records: 7 years (tax and accounting requirements)
- Enquiry records: generally 2 years
- Marketing consent records: until you withdraw consent
Data beyond these periods is deleted or anonymised.
5. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), restricted database access, admin access limited to authorised personnel, and regular backups.
6. Cookies and analytics
This site uses essential cookies to keep your cart and login session working. We may use privacy-friendly traffic statistics that do not identify individuals. If we later add analytics or advertising tools that require cookies, we will update this policy and ask for consent first.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:

- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Withdraw consent to marketing
- Request deletion of data no longer needed (subject to legal and accounting obligations)

8. Direct marketing
We only send marketing messages after you tick the consent box. You can reply "stop" or contact us to opt out at any time, free of charge.
9. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will delete it.
